Wafer pattern PFA / PTFE lined butterfly valves for use with acids
The wafer style BTW valve is designed to bolt between mating flanges and is the most commonly supplied butterfly valve type.
With a robust design and many unique features developed from many years of manufacturing experience, the standard stocked valve has a ductile iron body with PTFE body liner, with the disc being ductile iron encapsulated in PFA. All wetted parts are manufactured from PTFE and PFA, the valve can be used in highly corrosive applications. The valve can also be supplied with stainless steel body for clean room applications or for use in highly corrosive environments.
The disc can be supplied in the following formats:
- unlined stainless steel
- titanium palladium alloys
- UHMWPE liners for use with abrasives
The lined butterfly valve can be supplied bare stem, with a 10 position locking lever or with a enclosed gearbox. Alternatively we can supply the valve fully actuated, please give us a call to discuss. The valve has 3 separate stem seals preventing any fugitive emissions. The PTFE body liner is machined from a single PTFE billet to maintain total integrity, even at high temperatures and pressures.
Behind the PTFE body liner there is a viton energiser to seal the liner against the PFA disc to give positive bubble tight shut off. This PTFE / PFA lined butterfly valve is available in size range from 2” to 24” in both ASME 150 and DIN executions.
The BTV2000 butterfly valve can be supplied bare stem, with a 10 position locking lever or with a enclosed gearbox. Alternatively, CRP can supply the valve fully actuated, just give us a call to your requirements.
